As of now, i heard maybe 5 lines of dialogue, all are boring jokes. They constantly crack jokes and are overall too much sarcastic. Characters - The characters aren't really likeable from what I see. I'm not saying that Dead Island should have parkour (it shouldn't) but I see they have much emphasis on firearms, which takes away much of the fun i had in the first 2 games.ģ. Gameplay - despite the story being actually rather bland, Dying Light had exceptional gameplay, and the sequel looks to be even more promising. Right now it's miles back from the current AAA games.Ģ. Now, despite Dead Island 1/Riptide having a colorful environment, the atmosphere did look dark and gritty, maybe this will change in the final product. It looks cartoony, and people prefer grittier atmospheres, especially in zombie games. Graphics - I can't really see a big leap in improvement from this build's graphics and the original 2 games. Here's what I think isn't going to work out when comparing this game to the competition:ġ. People have been waiting for this for more than half a decade now, they obviously will want a polished and original game. This game was announced in 2014, here we are in 2021 almost sure that the game won't release this year neither after changing three developing companies.

It's unevitable that this will be compared to Dying Light 1/2 in every possible way, and although this is obviously an old build and much might change, right now it's not looking good.
